HISTORY


Sandy Springs Realtors is locally owned and operated. We are not a large franchise factory. We provide personal, one on one service. We have been in the real estate profession and serving local, national and international clients since 1972. In the spirit of hometown representation, Sandy Springs Realtors was officially formed in 2006 to celebrate the incorporation of The City of Sandy Springs www.sandyspringsga.org in 2005, and was the First real estate brokerage to open along with the city formation.

Sandy Springs Realtors offers buyers, sellers and investors residential, commercial and investment buyer and seller opportunities. Our Sandy Springs Realtors team has recently achieved over $100,000,000 in home sales representing hundreds of individual homebuyers including first time buyers, move up, second home, investment, retirement/seniors and others, and home sellers, in all price ranges.

This expansion of general “re-sales” and leasing services, in addition to representing new home and condominium developments, allows us to offer our clients with a complete and comprehensive selection of signature neighborhoods and homes, regardless whether the clients desire new construction or a re-sale residence.

The Burnette family founded Burnette Realty & Capital Advisors, Co. the predecessor company to Sandy Springs Realtors in 1978. Burnette Realty developed, built, brokered, managed and marketed single and multi-family residential properties and resort beachfront condominiums in Clearwater Beach, Florida and Atlanta, Georgia. Burnette Realty also acted as broker and sales & marketing management for builders, lenders and developers on a contact/brokerage basis for many national and international companies such as, Citicorp, GECC, Clearwater Federal, Technical Immobliari, US Home Corp., Hollywood Inc. and others for their projects such as, Boca Raton Yacht & Tennis Club, Rivermont Golf & Country Club, Vero Beach Club, Greenglades, and many more, with combined market value of over $500,000,000.

Robert Burnette, a native of Atlanta, is managing broker of Sandy Springs Realtors, Inc. He has over 35 plus years of experience as a residential real estate sales and marketing specialist of single and multi-family homes (condominium and town home) properties and communities.

Robert’s vision for Sandy Springs Realtors is to offer personalized and specialized representation to discerning buyers, sellers and investors in their real estate asset management endeavors. Our agents will meet and exceed customer service benchmarks.

Robert has also personally sold over $60,000,000 worth of homes in Atlanta over the past few years and over 50 residences in this past year. He has also built and developed numerous single family and multi-family residential communities and beachfront condominiums in Florida and Georgia.

Previous real estate positions and brokerage affiliations included: President, Harbor Island Development; Vice President, Discovery Homes; Sales & Marketing Director, Equipro International; Metro Brokers; Morris & Raper; and ReMax.

Some of the clients, products and projects represented include: Eastland Woods, City Park Place, The Regent, Oldfield at Grant Park, Hammond Heights, Eagles Nest, City Central Builders, Jolly Dev., Citicorp, GECC, Equitable Life, Dogwood LLC and others. His responsibilities have included project and product planning and design, marketing and on-site and off-site sales for dozens of projects, of all product types, to all buyer profiles, both domestically and internationally.

Previous management positions included advertising and marketing account management at world’s largest advertising agencies J Walter Thompson and BBDO in New York, NY. There he managed accounts such as: Pepsi Cola International (Europe, Central and South America), Playskool Toys, Milton Bradley Games, and Sheraton Hotels, among others.

Previous to specializing in real estate, Robert held management positions in account/brand marketing and advertising in New York City at BBDO and J Walter Thompson for clients such as: Milton Bradley Games, Playskool Toys, Pepsi International’s Pepsi and Team brands, Sheraton Hotel, USSBA and others.

Dick is an award-winning executive with over 30 years of leadership as a real estate sales and marketing Chief Executive Officer, General Manager and Marketing Executive. He has been involved in the planning, marketing, sales and management of over 19 large-scale real estate ventures, valued at over $100,000,000. Dick works with Sandy Springs Realtors in its Builder - Developer Sales & Marketing Division as an independent project manager.
